The Golden Temple At City Of Amritsar

Golden Temple

The Harmandir Sahib (meaning The Abode of God) or simply say as the Golden Temple located in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India is the most great sacred shrine of Sikhism. For the Sikhs, the great Golden Temple symbolizes infinite freedom and spiritual independence.

The wonder site of the Temple began with  a small wonderful lake that was so peaceful that even great lord Buddha came there to meditate. Thousands of years later, Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism also lived and life meditate by the lake.

Construction of the Golden Temple began in the 1500s periods, when the 4th Guru of Sikhism enlarged the lake that became Amritsar or else Pool of the Nectar of Immortality, around which the Golden Temple and the city grew. The Golden Temple itself is decorated with good shining huge marble sculptures, gilded in gold, and covered in strong precious stones.
