Although officially part of the Angkor Wat complex, Banteay Srei lies 25 km (15 miles) north-east of the main group of great temples, enough to list it separately here. The great Hindu temple was completed in 967 AD and is built largely of India red sandstone, a medium that lends itself to the elaborate decorative wall carvings which are still most clearly visible today. Banteay Srei is the only major temple at Angkor never built for a king, instead it was constructed by one of great king Rajendravarman’s counselors, Yajnyavahara.

The Hinduism is one of the world’s oldest religions, and has over 900 million followers worldwide. Though most of the Hindus peoples live in India there are substantial numbers present in Nepal, Bangladesh and Indonesia.The architecture of Hindu temples has evolved ever since resulting in a great variety of different lovely styles. Hindu temple regularly, they play a vital role in Hindu society and good culture.

The wonderful Temple of Heaven in Beijing is most regarded as a Taoist Temple although Chinese Heaven worship pre-dates Taoism. The temple was constructed from 1406 to 1420 during the reign of the Yongle Emperor, who was also responsible for the construction of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Not only a beautiful sight, the temple is also surrounded by a vast public park popular with local residents practicing tai chi in the mornings and on weekends.
The planet contains so many beautiful temples as Asia. This is perhaps not surprising as Asia was the nice birthplace of most of the world’s mainstream religions life as well as many other beliefs. A number of these, including great Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism and Taoism, were the inspiration for some of the most famous temples in the wonderful world.

The best Bangkok’s Buddhist temples is Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, located within the grounds of the wonderful Grand Palace. The huge main building is the central ubosoth, which luxury houses The Emerald Buddha, one of the most oldest gold and most famous Buddha statues in the world.

A jade statue adorned in gold shining clothing, the Emerald Buddha was, according to legend, created in great India in 43 BC in the city of Pataliputra, where it remained for 300 years. In the period 4th century AD it was taken away to Sri Lanka by Buddhist monks to save it from destruction by world war. Eventually the statue made its path to Thailand and was moved to Wat Phra Kaew in 1779. The statue has 3 different sets of gold clothing, which are changed by the great King of Thailand in a ceremony at the changing of the seasons festival.

The amazing temple Shwedagon Pagoda (or Golden Pagoda) in Yangon, is the holiest Buddhist shrine in Burma. The origins of Shwedagon are lost in antiquity but it is estimated that the Pagoda was first built the temple by the Mon during the Bagan period, sometime between the period 6th and 10th century AD. The golden temple complex is full of glittering, colorful stupas but the center of attention is the 99 meter high (326 feet) high main stupa that is completely covered in gold.

The great Angkor Wat (”City Temple”) is a vast temple complex featuring the magnificent remains of several capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th century AD. These include the wonderful famous Angkor Wat temple, the best largest temple in the world. The luxury Angkor temple stands on a raised terrace above the rest of the city. It is made of 3 rectangular galleries rising to a central tower, most each level higher than the last. 

The outer temple gallery of the Angkor Wat temple measures 187 x 215 meters (614 x 705 feet). After this, the next 2 galleries are connected to each other. On the second level, it measures 100 x 115 meters (328 x 377 feet). The inner gallery is a 60 x 60 meter (197 x 197 feet) square area. The temple tower above the central shrine rises 65 meters (213 feet) above the ground floor.

The Borobudur Buddhist temple located on the Indonesian island of Java, 40 km (25 miles) northwest of Yogyakarta, the Borobudur is the most largest Buddhist temple in the world. The Borobudur temple was built over a period of some 75 years in the 8th and 9th centuries by the great kingdom of Sailendra, out of an estimated 2 million blocks of huge strong stone. 

The Borobodur temple can be separated  into three groups: base, body, and top, which resembles the 3 major division of like a human body. The temple base is a 123×123 meters (403.5×403.5 feet) square in size and 4 meters (13 feet) high of huge walls. The total temple surface area is approximately 2,500 m2. The temple body is composed of 5 square platforms each with diminishing heights. The top of temple  is a monumental stupa with a main dome at the center . The dome has a height of 35 meters (115 feet) from the temple ground level.

The famous God  Lord Vishnu Ranganatha. The Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Srirangam at Trichy is an important shrine that receives millions of world visitors and pilgrims every year. With an surface area of 156 acres (6,31,000 m²), the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple is one of the best largest temples in the world. In fact, the temple can be easily termed as the largest functioning  culture of Hindu temple complex in the world. The oldest golden structure of the temple dates back to the 10th century. There are 21 huge gopurams (tower), among which the Rajagopuram is the world biggest temple in South India. It is 73 meters (240 feet) in height, and dates from the 17th century, although it was successfully only completed in 1987.

The great Temple of Saint Sava in Belgrade is the largest Orthodox church huge building in the world. It is dedicated to the founder of the great Serbian Orthodox Church. The building construction of the church began in 1985 and was mostly completed by 2004. The internal task decorations are still not finished. In English, it is usually called a cathedral because of its size and emphasis but it is not the seat of a bishop & therefore technically not a cathedral. In great Serbian it is called a hram (temple). The church distance  is 91 meters (299 feet) long from and 81 meters (266 feet) wide. It is 70 meters (230 feet) so tall, with the main shining gold-plated cross on top of the dome extends the church for 12 more meters (39 feet). It temple has a surface area of 3,500 m2 on the  ground floor.

According to the Guinness large World Record the great Akshardham Temple is the largest Indian Hindu temple in the world but this is disputed by at least three other temples in great India which are all claimed to be the largest temple in the world. These great temples are often part of a larger complex which makes it even less best clear. In this list we will focus on the main temple  to determine which is the best largest temple in the word.

 A spectacular archaeological site in place of northeastern Lebanon. From the first century BC and over a period of 2 centuries, the great old Romans built three temples they are  Jupiter, Bacchus and Venus. Created to be the best largest temple in the Roman empire, the temple of Jupiter was lined by 54 best massive granite columns. Only six of these titanic columns remain standing but even they are incredibly most impressive. The wonderful preserved temples at the site is the great Temple of Bacchus built in 150 AD. The temple distance is 69 meters long and 36 meters wide. Its huge walls are adorned by 42 Corinthian columns, 19 of which remain upright in proper position standing 19 meters (62 feet) high.
